PRIVACY

Your edit-list files stay in your browser.

How EDL Toolbox handles local edit-list files, working copies, browser storage, contact messages and website requests.

Files and working copies

EDL, XML and AAF contents are processed locally in your browser. The app does not upload imported edit lists or media, send them to an AI service, or save working copies on a server. AAF processing loads the required runtime files from this website and then runs locally.

Working edits stay in the current tab’s memory. Export changes before reloading or closing it. Closing a document clears it from the workspace; it does not delete your original file or downloaded exports.

Preferences and browser storage

The theme follows the device’s local time: dark from 18:00 to 06:00. A manual choice stays active in the current page session until you select Auto or reload. No location permission is needed. Your browser may cache website assets and the AAF runtime.

Website requests and external links

Loading the website sends normal connection information, such as your IP address, browser headers and requested URLs, to the hosting provider. This is separate from the contents of the edit-list files you open. External reference links lead to websites with their own privacy practices.

Contact messages

When you submit the contact form, the name, reply email, topic and message you enter are sent to our server and email delivery provider so we can respond. Your edit-list files are not attached or uploaded by the form. Avoid including confidential project material.

The form uses an automated spam check and temporary request limits. Messages are not saved in an application database; submitted messages may be retained by the email delivery provider and recipient’s mailbox.
